Blood Types

The ABO blood group has 4 blood types which include A,B,AB, and O

Type A- Have an antigen on the surface of red blood cells also have antibody B in their plasma
Type B- Have antigen B on the surface of the red blood cells. If an indiviual with type A blood is given type B blood the antibody B in the recipents blood will combine with the red blood cells of the donor blood due to the fact that those cells have antigen B on the surfaces
Type AB-Indiviuals with type AB blood have both antigen A and antigen B on the surface of their red blood cell they don't have antibody A or B in their plasma. AB blood donors are called universal recipents because most of them can accept all ABO blood types
Type O-Indiviuals with type O don't have antigen A or antigen B on the surface of the red blood cells. people with type O are called universal donors because their blood can be given to most people

Male Reproductive System

The male reproductive system is in charge of developing sperm, to discharge sperm within the female during sex and to produce and secrete male hormones for maintaining the male reproductive system most of the male reproductive system is located outside of the body. These external structures include the penis, scrotum, and testicles.
The head of the sperm contains 23 chromosomes and is covered with an enzyme filled sac called acrosome. the mitochondria (mid piece) generates the energy the cell needs to move. The tail is a flagellum that propels the sperm forward in the female reproductive tract

Respiratory System

The primary organs of the respiratory system is the lungs which carry out the gases as we breathe. The system is responsibele for taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide. Red blood cells collect the oxygen the lungs and carry it to the parts of the body where needed. The red blood cells then collect the carbon dioxide and transport it back to the lungs where it then leaves the body when we exhale. Decrease in oxygen is called hypoxia and lack of oxygen is anoxia, which both can be fatal after 4 minutes without oxygen brain cells begin to die. Parts of the respiratory system is the trachea which the windpipe filters the air that is inhaled thats branches into the bronchi, which are two tubes that carry air into each lung called primary and secondary bronchi. The brochial tubes leaad to the lobes of the lungs. The alveolar walls which are very thin they have a single layer of tissues called epithelial cells. The diaphragm is a dome shaped muscle at the bottom of the lungs it controls breathing and separates the chest cavity rom the abdominal cavity. Some diseases of the respiratory system are Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease known as COPD is the combination of 3 conditions which include chronic bronchitis, chronic asthma and emphysema. Asthma is a chronis inflammation of the airway that causes coughing, wheezing, chest tightness or shortness of breath. Lung Cancer is associated with smoking but also affect nonsmokers.
